Storm Surfers have launched an iPhone and iPad application for download, HERE.

These apps give you access to exclusive online content, including Storm Surfers images and videos, as well as a hilarious Storm Surfers quiz.

Storm Surfers follows two-time world champion Tom Carroll and big wave tow-in pioneer Ross Clarke-Jones as they hunt down and ride the world’s biggest waves.

Nick Godfrey: smile, second it's nice

Chad du Toit won the internationally rated ASP Grade-One Billabong Pro Junior men’s title at Herold’s Bay today, defeating Nick Godfrey in powerful 1.5 metre surf that provided the country’s best 20-and-under surfers with excellent opportunities to display their talents.

Du Toit, 20, the 2009 ASP Africa Pro Junior champion and top seed in the event, started the final brightly by racking up mid-range scores of 6.5 and 6.0 out of 10. Godfrey stayed in contention with a 5.5 before du Toit sealed victory in his final Pro Junior event in home waters, producing a near-perfect ride of 9.75 for four massive top to bottom carves on an overhead wave with eight minutes remaining.

Heitor Alves: Brazilian with Spanish accent

Heitor Alves (BRA) was unstoppable on his way to claim the ASP 6-Star San Miguel Pro Zarautz presented by Euskaltel title over Tim Boal (FRA) in a well fought 35-minute battle. Having taken down an inform Gabriel Medina (BRA) in the semis, Alves was on a roll and proved unbeatable despite a last ditched effort by Boal to take the victory.

Clean lines in the 3ft (1m) range were on offer however event officials were forced to place the event on hold during the high tide because of infrequent set waves. With clear skies and fantastic beach weather, the shore line and esplanade were once again packed. The huge crowd revelled in the magnificent displays of surfing put on by all the guys on this last day of competition.

CP - Comboios de Portugal: surfer-friendly trains

Surfing is becoming one of Portugal's national sports. Located in Western Europe, the country's quality waves are known everywhere.

But what is truly amazing is the growing passion for wave sports like surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and bodyboarding.

The state-owned company CP - Comboios de Portugal, which operates freight and passenger trains in the country, is welcoming surfers and surfboards in their railway carriages.

This absolutely surfer-friendly company has informed its passengers that they can carry boards, alongside with the obvious priority given for people with disabilities and pregnant women.

Australia conquers the 2010 Panama ISA World Masters of Surfing

Australia: top of the tops

Australia won the Team Gold Medal in the Panama ISA World Masters Surfing Championship in clean, well shaped 5 to 7 foot waves. Heather Clark (RSA), Andrew Banks (RSA), Juan Ashton (PUR), Rod Baldwin (AUS) and Chris Knutsen (RSA) won the Gold Medal in the individual divisions.

The Aussie team’s title came after an intense and tight battle with South Africa. A mere difference of less than 300 points gave the first ISA Masters World Championship to the Aussies, stopping two years of African supremacy.

Ten medalists of the Panama ISA World Masters Surfing Championship were defined today in clean and perfect 5 to 7 foot waves. Tomorrow, Australia, South Africa and Brazil will fight neck to neck for the Masters Title as they enter the last day of the event with a tight points distance.

Andy Irons: massive result!

A very focused and quiet surfing gave Andy Irons the 2010 Billabong Pro Tahiti title against CJ Hobgood, in 2-3 foot windy and shy Teahupoo, despite two early wipe outs for both competitors. Irons has completed his goal of winning, at least, a contest until he leaves professional surfing.

The fifth event of the 2010 ASP World Tour is a key stop for the world surfing championship.

“I feel like I’m back,” Irons said. “I have to thank ASP for giving me the wildcard back here. My whole dream was to come back and just win one contest, and I’ve done that now. I want more. And to win at Teahupoo, it’s my favourite wave in the world. It’s a very special win.”

Hurricane Earl: the direction of the beast for the next hours

Surfers are checking out the wave conditions throughout the East Coast of USA, as the Hurricane Earl approaches the shore line.

High wave and pounding surf will be expected in many Florida beaches. In Cocoa Beach, for example, surfers are trying to match the tide with the swell. Winds may reach 170 km/h.

Lifeguards had already a lot work. Swimmers and surfers have been rescued.

Also, in Jacksonville Beach, the waves are pretty consistent and the pier is packed with populars and watermen.
